ABOUT ME EDAN SYAH
INDEPENDENT MARATHONER & RUNNING COACH
Nine years ago, Edan discovered that he had the potential to be a great runner when he kept improving and breaking boundaries in his running.
It inspired him to pursue his running dream and to achieve his maximum potential. He found his purpose in life through running and hope to be the best he can possibly be and to inspire others to start working on their dream, too.
He wants to raise running to the next level by imparting knowledge and experience to the running community and to help promote good runners for the country.
EDAN SYAH is the Youngest and Fastest Malaysian to finish the 119th Boston Marathon 2015 (held on April 20, 2015) with a time of 2:41:55. Edan Syah is well known in the running community as the “Citizen Runner’; not a professional athlete, who needs to work full time but have to juggle his time between work, training and recovery from training. He has inspired many people through his running journey and he challenges himself to DareToDream to achieve the impossible as an independent athlete and excel in his running performance globally.
He discovered his running potential 8 years ago when he won the 10km event in the Standard Chartered Kuala Lumpur 2011. Since his debut Full Marathon in Standard Chartered Singapore 2011, he has improved tremendously by saving close to 30 minutes from his debut time of 3:07 to 2:38 in Tokyo Marathon 2016!
